I am in the middle of planning a trip to visit my sister in Hawaii. This is the first time I will be taking my kids on the plane by myself for 5 hours. Now, there is a part of me that is excited because this will be the first time Carter rides on an airplane and the first ride Chrsitian will probably remember. I’m excited about taking off and landing and experiencing the ride with them but I’m not going to lie, the excitement wares off when I start thinking about all the possible things that can go wrong. Everyone knows it’s not a fun ride when there is someon’s child crying in the back of the plan. The piercing sobs can make any one cringe and want to hide out in the itsy-bitsy airplane bathroom to just get away from it (all you men, hello….welcome to what we call motherhood). Maybe crying isn’t their thing, maybe it’s kicking the seat in front of them, screaming, wanting to run around and the list goes on.

I don’t exspect any of this from my kids because they are 3 and 5 but I do expect them to get restless, to not understand that their plastic power ranger karate chops are louder then they think and to make loud embarrassing comments like the over processed plan snacks are disgusting (and that is why I will be packing some good snacks!)!

One thing I am enjoying though is picking out and purchasing a bunch of new summer clothes for them! Here are some picks for the good old suitcase. Trust me the packing should be fun because now we all have to pay an extra $25 to even get it to their destination!
