The modern twist: cape
Its so fun to look through old pictures and really get a glimpse of the clothes and way of living. I loved seeing this old picture and noticing the cape! Yes, it seems that the cape is always in style and in the past couple of years we have really seen it all over the place. This winter season a new kinda of cape is really going to be hot called the cloak! Looks like a jacket but is a cape etc.

Guest Post -Before and After: A Touch of Yellows and Pinks
Little Miss Heirlooms’ number one fan is back and I’m not even a mama yet. I am however a baby loving, interiors aficionado, with an affinity for well designed garb, and the author of raenovate, the blog about all things reinvigorated, refreshed, and revived. I’m here today to share the renovation of a young New Yorker’s bedroom. Previously an unorganized mess of a space, the tween’s room is now a girlie city retreat.
Lily Zingman of Lily Z Design Inc. daringly created the bedroom by combining the colors yellow and pink. Prominently blush with sunshiney accents, the space is filled with homemade art and jazzy DIY projects, perfect for every little girls dream room.
I also couldn’t resist being inspired by Lily Zingman so I’ve suggested a few zesty and pink accessories for your wee ones. Take that color combo and run with it!
